Zhansaya Abdumalik

born on January 12, 2000 in Almaty

Woman international grandmaster

Love for chess was instilled by father (has the rank of a candidate master). Zhansaya learned to play chess at 5.5 years. And at age of 6 together with her brother Sanzhar she started to play chess in a group of Tamara Gudova, the USSR master of sports. During the period of 2007-2011 Zhansaya was coached by an international master Nikolay Peregudov. From 2011 to 2012 Zhansaya studied at the ASEAN Chess Academy in Singapore. She was coached by a Chinese grandmaster Zhang Zhong. From 2012 till present day Zhansaya has been training with a Georgian international grandmaster David Arutyunyan. Since May 2013 Zhansaya has started to train with world-renowned expert, international grandmaster, FIDE Senior Trainer (2010), the Dutch national men team coach - Vladimir Chuchelov.

Multiple champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4th place. Youth World Championship (Turkey, 2007).

1st place. Youth Asian Championship (Iran, 2008). Zhansaya performed in the age group of girls up to 8 years and scored 6.5 points out of 7, becoming the youngest champion of Asia in the history of Kazakhstan chess!

1st place. Youth World Championship (Vietnam, 2008). Zhansaya performed in the age group of girls up to 8 years and scored 10 points out of 11, becoming the first world champion in the history of Kazakhstan chess!

1st place. "Jermuk Open" international tournament (Armenia, 2009).

1st place. World Championship among schoolchildren (Turkey, 2010.).

2nd place. Youth World Championship (Greece, 2010).

1st place. World Championship among schoolchildren (Poland, 2011.).

1-2 place. ASEAN International tournament among girls under 20 years old (Indonesia, 2011).

1st place. Youth World Championship (Brazil, 2011). The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev congratulated Zhansaya with a telegram.

1st place. "Aeroflot Open" international tournament, 1st place among women, tournament C (Russia, 2012).

2nd place. Youth World Championship (Slovenia, 2012).

Awarded the "Patriot of the Year 2012" prize in the nomination "Recognized by the World of Kazakhstan"./ li.>
